GI Joes Black Ops - “Juan” The Zeta Regulator

I received a bit of information earlier yesterday morning. I thought I would share it with you. I will be altering some of the identification of the individuals involved in this type of information that I will be putting out in this blog every now and then. Also, this information and type of GI Joes blog entry will be titled, “GI Joes – Black Ops”.

I am calling the posts and this category GI Joes – Black Ops for a couple of reasons. The first is pretty straight forward. I do not want to confuse Hasbro’s GI Joes universe with the information that I will be putting out in this category. This information comes from a few sources of mine combined with a bit of poetic justice that I have taken the liberty of adding. *wink*

Another reason for the GI Joes – Black Ops category is to add a bit of depth to this blog and allow me to be a bit creative with the genre that I enjoy so much. (And Hasbro, if any of your executive types are reading this, please feel free to contact me should you feel that my little stories are worthy of unimaginable amounts of compensation.)

Back to that little bit of information I had received yesterday from one of my sources. I will not give out any information on this particular source as of now, but you can learn more in a later post.

This information is in regards to an asset involved in the narcotic war along the Mexican-American border.

  • Code Name: Zeta Regulator - “Juan”
  • Appearance: Classified
  • Age: Classified
  • Race: Mexican
  • Citizenship: United States
  • Primary Specialty: Covert Ops – Undercover Work
  • Secondary Specialty: Communications

Juan started his career with the 7th Army Special Forces Group in Columbia during the 1980’s in the war on drugs. He participated in numerous high intensity conflicts with para-military drug cartels. As he proved his worth and extreme ability to handle the cartels and adapt to the conflict without any significant psychological problems, besides the fact that he enjoyed it a bit too much, he was recruited by the CIA as an asset.

Juan was killed in action by a narco-terrorist group while being transported to a Columbian airport for a trip home for some much deserved leave. Well, at least this was what was written in the official Department of Army report. According to Juan’s friends and family, he was killed.

Juan was relocated to a highly secretive training facility know as “The Farm” where he was trained to operate as an asset for the CIA. Why an asset? Well, as I mentioned earlier, this makes it easy for the CIA to deny the existence of Juan should his mission be compromised or discovered. They simply abandon him.

Today, Juan operates under deep cover as a Zeta. Los Zetas is an armed criminal gang, most often ex-Mexican military members that are the hired Army of the Gulf Cartel that is believed to be led by Heriberto “The Executioner” Castanon.

I will bring you much more information on Juan the Zeta Regulator as I receive it. Stay tuned.
